This blog is intended to share (mostly) soup recipes that I try and create, and for you to share your feedback and experiences trying variations as well. I also add in some soup-related commentary, review soups I try in St. Louis and beyond, and write posts about soup-making tools, particular ingredients, and occasionally non-soup topics too.

This blog was born from my casual obsession with soup. I am not a professional chef or culinary expert by any means, and I neither cook nor blog for a living, but I have found a passion for soup that I’m excited to share. I would love to hear your feedback about this blog and any requests you might have for soups I should try to make and write about. Let me be your soup guinea pig, seriously! Leave your ideas in the comments below.

You might want to check out Rouxbe: http:\\rouxbe.com

It has video tutorials and whatnot. A great place for both newbies as well as advanced cooks [if you are good enough to blog about it, youre advanced :P]

In any case, I, like most people, found your blog through GRS. And I’m bookmarking it :D

Do you take all the soup pics yourself or are they stock images?

Thanks! Rouxbe looks like a very interesting site… and yes I took the soup pics myself (except for the header), and I realize I need some practice. I’ve been reading tips from the very talented Heidi at 101 Cookbooks and hope to improve on the photo front as the blog progresses.
